Rewards fit actions. The guilty must be brought before the law. Good stands in contrast to Evil, as day is in contrast to night, and neither one is able to exist without the other. Although the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, the parts must not be forgotten. Good redeems its own. None are so lost that they cannot see the light.That good should be upheld in word, thought and deed, and even those who are lost in darkness can still be redeemed and learn forgiveness.

Leader of the Gods of Good; Creator of the Dragons; and Founder of the Knights of Solamnia. Paladine influences order, hope light and guardianship. His colors are silver and white. He most commonly takes the Avatar for of a befuddled Wizard named Fizban, who can't even remember his name much less the words to a certain spell. In the beginning he helped Takhisis create life which in turn created the Rift between Good and Evil. He rarely gets directly involved with mortal matters. He thinks it is best for mortals to act on their own free will, and just nudge his followers in the right direction. He leads his pantheon through example and not by command.

With the constant threat of Takhisis entering the world, Paladine, with the help of his sons, created the Knights of Solamnia, to help suppress this threat. He later realized that the Knights were in need of an 'edge', so he revealed the location of the DragonLance.

Paladine, also known as the Platinum Dragon, the Valiant Warrior, and Draco Paladin, represents the godly force of majesty. He sponsors the soul's aspirations to rise to greater heights and to improve itself by following the example of others. He grants divine right to kings and rulers. Paladine represents the power of redemption and righteousness can have on the world. He exemplifies glory and victory. He was one of the first Gods summoned from the Beyond. He furthers the High God's plan among those who follow the ideals of compassion and peace. He leads the other Gods of Good through his example. Paladine responds to the demands of the Kingpriest, who arrogantly demands power from the Gods, by casting the fiery mountain upon the world, causing the Cataclysm. He is a patriarch of sorts to the Gods of Light. He is advised by Majere and is the partner of Mishakal. Kiri-Jolith and Habbakuk are also close to him. He honors Solinari by taking the form of a white robed wizard during the War of the Lance. He respects the Gods of Neutrality with no special friends among them, and opposes all Gods of Evil. His celestial symbol is the constellation Platinum Dragon.
