Throughout the nation of Solamnia there is talk of an assault on the Fort on the outskirts of Portsmith. Black Talon assailants began attacking the Knights, swarming them, until the Knight Captain Damien Bishop arrived. Hundreds of the Talons fell, along with a dozen or so of the Knighthood, until, in desperation the Black Talons made for the Temple of Mishakal. The Knight Captain followed, but the Black Talons had lost too many men to press beyond the Silver Dragon that stood guard. The road was littered with the dead, the grass charred from the magic flames that covered it.

In the wake of the attempted attack on Portsmith and the sacred ground surrounding the temple of Mishakal, Damien has often been seen along the road and even trudging through the woods near Portsmith, with him a contingent of knights. The group of knights often stops to converse over certain stretches of road, where markers are then placed.
